This is the latest design chopping board from Chef Remi.  It is 40 x 25cm and double sided.  One side is for cutting dry things like herbs or vegetables and the other side is for cutting meats or anything juicy.  This side is specially designed with a juice channel around the edge to stop the juices from dripping.  This board is made from the Para rubber tree and is considered eco friendly as the wood is harvested after the plant has served its function supplying sap for rubber.  These trees grow on plantations and are also used to make wood for furniture.  This is a non slip hardwood which doesn't split, warp or bend.  It has a close grain which makes it less porous. The board is also covered with an antibacterial and antimicrobial coating which means it is able to destroy harmful microbes that can cause disease and kill or reduce the harmful effects of bacteria.  With a durable surface this board helps to stop your knifes from dulling so you can carve and slice as much as you like.  It is recommended that you wash with soap or detergent and water then air dry.  Every couple of weeks it is recommended that wipe it with a good mineral oil to keep the board in good condition.
