This is a story about an ex American Marine who became the Sherriff of the local town called Resurrection.  The horrors of the duty tours he was part of as a Marine were never far behind him and he was desperately trying to rebuild his life.  A lost love returned to start a chain reaction that would turn his life upside down.  A mysterious force had taken over the towns mine and a dangerous stranger promised to give the Sherriff millions of dollars to stay quiet.  Unknown to him their lives were about to change drastically.
 
A town festival  provided the perfect cover for the start of a madman's dream.  Death, global destruction and the unbearable demise of loved ones spurs the Sherriff on to save the world, rescue the town and the new family he has come to love.  
 
A great compelling read.  This story grabs you at the start and pulls you through the trials and tribulations the characters face.  The Sherriff, a strong caring man.  Mayor Bertie Wilkens, a tough friendly Mayor who the people of Ressurection looked to for guidance.  Hank Keefer the villain of the story.  A man who's dreams and ideals, though most may sympathise with, was hell bent on saving America and making it yet again the most powerful, the only nation in the world. This is a great read and has a brilliant twist at the end.  I enjoyed reading this book.
