I was intrigued by this book as being an IBS sufferer I was not sure how this would be of any help. I suffer from food intolerance as well and often struggle to find a healthy diet. Upon further investigation this is quite unlike any other book I have come across.

The book itself is a cook book with several very tasty choices. There are various sections to choose from as you would expect. However, this book starts firstly with an introduction to IBS and just what it means to suffer from this condition. People may have these symptoms and never realise they have this condition and go on suffering needlessly. There are several great tips on what foods to avoid and good advise like if going to a restaurant why not do some research on their menu. Ask staff when you get there to assist you so they can look after your dietary needs. Some people are scared to do this and don't want to make a fuss, preferring to take the easy option and suffer the consequences later. I myself have been that person and after taking that first step to overcome this shyness you would be amazed how many people will go out of their way to help you. I have found my food palate very limited and have in general got bored with food. I have taken a liking to the more unusual things in this book like zucchini but have never really known how to cook it. This book has tons of ideas. I also like blueberries and various rice dishes and it has a recipe for blueberry vanilla milkshake and one for tropical rice. I would never have thought of putting blueberries and vanilla together. There is quite a lot of choice and something for everyone.

At the back of the book there is a conversion table for the measurements and the oven temperatures. This is great as it wont matter where you are as you should be able to convert the measurements and make the best dishes possible. Bon appétit.
