Wildlife Trail Camera

Wildlife Trail Camera, SGODDE 16MP 1080P Hunting Game Camera with 120°Wide Angle, 42Pcs IR LEDs Night Vision up to 65ft, IP66 Waterproof 2.4'' LCD Surveillance Cam for Outdoor Scouting & Home Security

This is a rather nice, compact trail camera.  Well camouflaged with high performance, a treat for anyone who wants to capture photo's of the wildlife in their back garden or out in the wilderness.  You can also use this as a security camera if you want inside or outside the house.  You have to purchase an 32 GB SD card and 8 x AA Energizer Lithium batteries as advised in the manual  to pull this package together but it is all worth it for the end results.

The infrared camera is housed in a good sealing
plastic to protect it and ensures that this will last in the extreme weather conditions.  The casing is rain proof, drop proof and dust proof which is just pure brilliant if you are clumsy like me.  The manual gives you step by step instructions on how to set the camera up before you place it outside or inside.  Reading this is really recommended to get the best performance from this camera. Once you followed the instructions on how to format it the camera will be ready for use.

It has an infrared camera which takes black and white photo's at night and colour in the daytime.  You can decide when you want to set your camera up.  When I got mine I wanted to see the wildlife at night so I set mine to record between 10 pm at night  and 6 am in the morning.  It was quite easy just by following the manual.  I secured mine to a tree in my side garden approx 2 meters from the ground.

The camera is set at approximately a 50 degree angle to let the sensors get a wider field to detect motion.  The trigger distance is 20m/65ft.  To test the motion sensors you just have to test them by walking in front of the camera whilst the camera itself is in test mode and the LED will flash so you know it is capturing movement.  You just have to play around with it to make sure you don't have the camera too high otherwise you wont capture and animals.  The infrared LED'S will not scare the animals away.  The trigger speed is fast and it has a low power resolution.   This unit can be used in standby mode for up to 6 months.  You can take manual photos if you wanted to but the whole point of this camera is getting closer to the nocturnal animals that are out and about whilst we sleep.

This camera is all set up to make it easy for you to use.  It comes with a tread tripod and mounting strap to ensure firm hold on placement on tree.  It can be used outside or inside for security.  It has multi recording modules, internal recording, time stamp, password protection, timer, a time stamp, a low battery alarm and a 24" led screen.  You can use various operating processes and depending on which ones you use normally depicts how long the batteries last.  You can capture several thousand photos normally before this happens.  I think this camera is great value for money.  Not only can you use this to look at the local wildlife but if you have a blind spot in the garden you can put this on record or just on photo's and keep an eye on what is happening in your garden.

I have not had alot of activity in our garden at the moment so unfortunately I don't have any photos to show you from outside .  You can take manual photos if you like and print them off on a laptop, I took a few inside the house to show you just how good the quality of the photos are.   I enjoyed playing with this.  It is so easy to use and so light.  Well worth it, check out the website.

I received this product at a discount and am under no obligation to write this review.
