This wireless doorbell from CS Hope is all in all a great gadget for the home. Weighing in at a cool 159g, this light weight doorbell packs quite a punch. Dimensions are 9.6 x 9 x 8cm. There are two parts to this doorbell. One x transmitter and one x receiver. The transmitter requires 1 x 12V23A battery (which does not come supplied with unit) and the receiver can just be plugged into the mains AC110-220V / 50-60Hz. It comes well packed in a collapsible box which can be recycled which is great. The transmitter comes with a sticky pad so you can stick this on your wood work outside the front door. Before setting the doorbell up you need to need to remove the front of the transmitter by twisting it anti-clock wise to remove some insulating paper otherwise it wont work. This being a brand new unit I found this very difficult to do indeed. I had to in the end twist it as best I could and had to prise it open with a blunt knife. Once I had got the paper and closed it again I tried again. It opened really easily the second time so if you order this bear in mind that it may be just a bit stiff due to the newness of the product. Before setting up you also need to pair your transmitter to your receiver so that they talk to each other basically. I plugged in the receiver to the mains power and on this unit there are two buttons. The bottom one is the volume button for the sound of the doorbell so you can adjust it to the loudness that suits you. This has 4 levels of volume which is great especially if you have a problem hearing. The top button will let you search through the 36 different tunes to find one you like. This button is also to be used to pair the two devices. You need to push it in and hold it for 3 seconds. The receiver will flash a blue light whilst you are doing this. Once it starts flashing hold up the transmitter and press the button in the middle that you would use this to ring the doorbell. Once the light stops flashing you know it has worked. I plugged the receiver into a socket in my hallway then took the transmitter into every room in the house and shut the doors and pressed the doorbell button on the transmitter. It worked every single time so the 900 feet range is spot on. What a brilliant piece of kit it certainly does deliver. This unit has a unique standby sleep technology and has very low power consumption. It is made of strong and durable materials and is waterproof and dust free. The tooling on this device is made according to German standards and the double side design is made by LCH Dr team from the USA.
