I have been thinking about getting a dash cam for a while as the way I drive to work is often blocked by crazy drivers who all seem to be either in a hurry to overtake or like me so much they want to crawl into the boot of my car.   I work in quite an industrial part where I live and am constantly being cut up by other drivers who pull out in front of you when you are in the middle of the roundabout.
Now there are several various ones on the market and with a two car family we can pick and choose.  This one I have gone for is CE680 dash cam is just 2.75*1.97*0.79 inches.  Made from Novatech HD chipset it has a 120 degree wide angle lens so you can see all 3 lanes of traffic.   This A+ grade lens,1080P HD image quality is good even in low illumination now that's saying something.

 This is quite a small camera and it can be put behind you mirror so it does not block your view whilst driving.  To record or take photos on this you need to have an SD card which you will have to buy separately.  It is small but very strong.  This can loop recordings for a couple of minutes and overwrite previous files or you can switch it on and off to record short trips.  It has a data stamp, a motion detection, anti shake, led sensor light, screen saver and you can set it to take timed photos.  This is also brilliant because if you do have an accident this camera has a Smart Gravity Sensor lock.  When it realises you have been hit the G Sensor lock triggers and the current clip will be locked and saved as evidence.  This is good because some people try to fake accidents and you will have evidence to say otherwise.  This little camera also has a built in memory of 64MB and also comes with a microphone.  LCD can show the realtime image to help you adjust installation angle, also supports playback to check records when you need.


So easy to use.  Clip on arm with suction cap to your camera and stick on the window.  This does come with a USB charger and you also get a sticker to put on your window advising other drivers that they are being recorded.  This can be charged via the cigarette lighter in the car once the engine starts.
This comes with a very easy to use manual and the company offer a 12 month warranty and a 30 day money back guarantee should you not be happy.  I went to Leamington the other day and had this camera on.  You would never know it was there until you switch your engine on and off.  I do have to say I do find the screen a little on the small side as my vision is not that brilliant but it is a really dainty piece of equipment and it does what the manual says it does.  Perfect for any vehicle I would say.  I fitted mine on the side of my windscreen with enough cable so I can remove it and put in in the side pocket when my car is parked so as not to attract any potential car thieves.  This would be great for a gift at Christmas and is really value for money and gives piece of mind to have that little bit of extra protection in the car.
